DAY 1 – ISTANBUL (D)
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is free. Tonight you will meet your guide for tour briefing.
DAY 2 – ISTANBUL (B)
You will meet your guide at 09:00 am. Together you will visit Topkapi Paşace first. After a lunch break you will visit Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Hippodrome. Then you will head to Grand Bazaar just to experience this different atmosphere.
DAY 3 – ISTANBUL (B)
You will meet your guide at 09:00 am. You will first visit Eyup which is a sacred place for the locals. After exploring this big Ottoman Necropolis you will take a cable car to Pier Loti Hill. Then you will head to Chora Church which has the best late Byzantine mosaics and frescos. Then you will take a taxi to Golden Horn to catch a ferry to the Asian side of Istanbul to Kadikoy. Here you will walk through fish markets, grocery stores and delicatessens and try different tastes that Istanbul offers. After exploring this area you will head back to the hotel.
DAY 4 – ISTANBUL – CAPPADOCIA (BD)
Today you will fly to Cappadocia. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. After check in you will have some rest and then meet your guide for a short tour in the region. You will drive to Zelve Open Air Museum which was a small village where people used to live in the Fairy Chimneys and caves, Pasabag which is famous for triple headed Fairy Chimneys and Derbent which has funny shaped rock formations. Then back to your hotel. Today you have a chance to do Turkish Bath as well. And tonight if you like you can watch a Whirling Dervish Ritual.
DAY 5 – CAPPADOCIA (B)
Early in the morning you have a chance to do Hot Air Ballooning. You will meet your guide at 09:00 am. You will first do some trekking at the valleys of Cappadocia to have a better idea about the region. Then you will drive to Goreme Open Air Museum where you will see the best Byzantine frescos. Then you will drive to Kaymakli Underground City. This is a runaway place for the locals from the enemies. 6000 people could able to hide inside without going outside for 6 months. After exploring this site you will drive to Uchisar Castle. You will also do a few panoramic stop to see the region from different angles. Then Back to the hotel. Tonight you have a chance to watch a Turkish Folklore Dance where the food and all local spirits are included.
DAY 6 – CAPPADOCIA – IZMIR – SELCUK (B)
Today you will fly to Izmir. When you get there you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Selcuk. After check in you will meet your guide and drive to Sirince Village. This village is founded by Greeks but the inhabitants are Turkish today because of the population exchange between Turkey and Greece. The village is famous for beautiful white Greek houses, fruit wine and Turkish pancakes. You will wonder at the alley ways of the village and have dinner here. Then back to your hotel.
DAY 7 – SELCUK (BD)
You will first drive to Virgin Mary’s House. From here you will head to Ephesus. After spending enough time here you will drive to Selcuk for lunch. After lunch you will have some free time and then meet your guide again and do grocery shopping for your cooking class. From here you will head to Kiraz Village where you will be taught delicious dishes of Turkish cuisine by a local lady. You will have dinner here as well. Then back to the hotel.
DAY 8 – SELCUK – PAMUKKALE – ISTANBUL (B)
Today you will drive to Pamukkale. When you get there you will first have lunch and then visit Hierapolis, its cemetery Necropolis and the white terraces of Pamukkale. Tonight you will fly back to Istanbul.
DAY 9– ISTANBUL (B)
You will be transferred to the airport depending on your departure time.
