Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am.

This morning you will meet your guide and driver at your hotel and proceed to St. Sergius and Bacchus Church, which is now called Kucuk Ayasofya Camii (Little Ayasofya Mosque). Then you will drive to the Topkapi Palace to visit the oldest Byzantine church still standing, the Hagia Irine Church. Nearby are the remains and rooms of an old Roman palace beneath a restaurant. From here you will
continue to the Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya). After the visit to this great church of the Byzantines, you will visit the Basilica Cistern and have lunch at Sarnic Restaurant which is located in a Roman Cistern.
After lunch you will head to Chora Museum, which has the best late Byzantine mosaics and frescoes. From here you will continue to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of the Greek Orthodox Church (equivalent of Vatican Greek Orthodox).

Then you will head back to the hotel.

Before you go

Even though you will have a vehicle with you all the time you still need comfortable shoes. We will be mostly in doors during this tour. You will not wait at the ticket lines but you might need to line up for the security check especially at Hagia Sophia.
