This Tour starts at 09.00 and finishes around 16.00

You will be met by your guide at 09.00 at your hotel. Together we head to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, where we will explore this fascinating district which not only contains the premier nightlife of Istanbul, but is also an open museum of beautiful 19th century architecture. Along with its art galleries and small folk music cafes, it is the cultural center of the city as well. 

After doing some pleasant detours, we will arrive at the Pera Palace Museum to see Osman Hamdi’s (one of the greatest painters of the Ottoman period) master work, ’The Turtle Instructor’. We will then enjoy a coffee break at Pera Palace Hotel. 

From here we will head back to Istiklal Street to visit some of the well and lesser known art galleries (the galleries we will visit will be chosen according exhibitions and dates). We will enjoy a fabulous lunch at a restaurant serving Northern Turkey (Black Sea) dishes. 

After the lunch we will take in some more art galleries before heading to Istanbul’s private museum of modern and contemporary art, the Istanbul Modern. This private museum embraces a global vision to collect, and exhibit fine examples of modern and contemporary art internationally as well as showcasing Turkey’s own talent. The Istanbul Modern is fast becoming an icon in the modern and contemporary art scene of Europe. 

After we finish at Istanbul Modern we can rest at the museum café which has breathtaking Bosphorus views. You will arrive back at the hotel approximately 16:00 giving you time to rest up before further exploring Istanbul’s culinary and entertainment nightlife.
